Absinthe on DailyDave

I have been involved with a great group of folks located at www.0x90.org for quite a while now. I met Nummish at Defcon MANY moons ago (AKA not sure what year but a long time ago) and we've since hung out at many venues including my home in North Carolina. Nummish is the primary author of Absinthe - see below -

Today I was catching up on my DailyDave reading and found a nice little post about automated SQL injection from Dave himself. I almost clicked reply, but decided to go ahead and finish my reading first. Later on in the list of unread messages, "rd" posted a nice little pimpin message about a 0x90.org project called Absinthe. Also listed on that link to Absinthe are other projects that I have either co-written or contributed to heavily. It's really a bizarre feeling when projects you have worked on in the past get mentioned by someone you don't even know.

In the past I've written a few other tools and made them available for public consumption. The most notable being Mezcal, HFNetChk-FE, and the VulRecTool. Some of my tools are completely useless today, however some of them (HFNetChk-FE) has been downloaded over 50K times, and some (Mezcal) are included in some really cool tool sets such as the backtrack hackers linux distribution. It's a good feeling when someone actually uses something you created.

That being said, I have put up a page with a bunch of old tools and sample code I have written. There are a few opinion papers (some of which are quite old and outdated - a good way to see if your opinion was actually CORRECT!) and a few conference slide decks and trip reports. I'll put more of my past projects and papers up there as I dig them out of my archives. Until then, enjoy, and let me know if you actually learn or use anything from this page.
